Milestones

Through the investment of Jinniu District Government, Yi Garden Group invested in the construction of Yi Garden at No.8 Jinniu Road, Jinquan Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu, and used the land for public welfare cultural undertakings. With the philosophy and aesthetics of I Ching as the gardening concept, Yi Garden deeply excavates the history, culture and legend of the ancient Shu Jinniu Dam, and is committed to building a contemporary Chinese ancient garden art exposition park.

1996

The first phase of the Yi Garden is taking shape and is open to the public free of charge.

 1998

Yi Garden was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau as the Sichuan Yi Garden Private Garden Art Museum, becoming the first private garden art museum in China.

2000

The then head of the Ancient Architecture Expert Group of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the president of the Chinese Society of Cultural Heritage, the president of the ChinaGreat Wall SocietyMr. Luo Zhewen, Vice President and Deputy Director of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage Evaluation Committee, visited Yi Garden. He wrote an impromptu inscription: "A new traditional garden, an eye-opening experience".

September 2004

In order to cooperate with the reconstruction of Chengdu Irrigation Road, Yi Park has completely upgraded the gate of the museum scenic spot.

 2012

Yi Garden is approved by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage as a national third-level garden art museum, and is the only national private garden art museum in China. 

2013

Completed the Yi Garden Art Museum and successfully opened the first season of the Painted Yi Garden.

2019

Yi Garden has successively completed the construction of the Sichuan School Bonsai Expo and the Oriental Hanli Museum.

2023

Yi Park has gradually developed into a cultural park integrating the historical and cultural landmark of the ancient Shu Jinniu Dam, the Sichuan School of Gardening, the Sichuan School of Bonsai, the Sichuan School of Painting and Calligraphy, the art of Sichuan Opera, and the Oriental Hanli Rituals of the six characteristic cultural and artistic resources of Tianfu, with a total area of about 200 acres.
